So pleased I found Vlad at Dr IT. I'd got myself into a panicked state as my laptop died on me, full of all the private files I used for work and couldn't afford to loose. I was very apprehensive of who to take my laptop to for data recovery because of this. But, Vlad completely understood and calmly explained my options with understanding, keeping me updated throughout the process and reassuring me of confidentiality and respecting my requests. He even provided me with extra online privacy and security tips and information. Of course, I hope this doesnt happen to me again anytime soon, I have learnt my lesson about back ups! My 2013 lap top had reached a stage, where it would not charge, consequently, I had to go through the process of starting from scratch each morning after plugging into the mains. I contacted the manufacture, but they were unable to help, as my machine was older than 2015. Their authorised dealer couldn’t be bothered to answer the phone. I asked Google to help me and found a local firm, DR IT SERVICES. Vlad, the owner, said that he could fix the problem in a matter of hours. I took my lap top to him at lunch time yesterday and a few hours later, I collected it in full working order, with a brand new battery. WHAT BRILLIANT SERVICE! Amazing speedy and professional service! The hinge on my laptop broke, after seeing the google reviews I decided to use Dr IT as he was available to look at my laptop immediately. He was able to quickly diagnosis what part would be needed, I took my laptop home so I could continue working from home and he texted me when the part had arrived. When the part had arrived I dropped the laptop just after 9am on a Saturday Morning and it was ready within an hour! Dr IT had social distancing markings and wore a mask so I felt very safe getting my laptop fixed at this time. I felt the price was very reasonable, especially considering he diagnosed and fixed my laptop outside of the usual 9-5. I highly recommend Dr IT and would 100% use his services again! ~ Katie P

My laptop's screen wasn't working, so after realising he was in my area, I gave my Laptop to Vlad on Thursday evening. Around noon on Saturday, the problem was diagnosed, and the required part ordered. During waiting for the delivery, he also kept me in the loop when the mail was slightly delayed, which was very much appreciated. As soon as the part arrived, he immediately swapped it out, and let me know that it was ready on the same day. He even changed the thermal paste of the laptop's GPU and CPU, explained the cause of the initial problem, and made alterations to prevent future issues, which were unexpected but very nice surprises. Would definitely recommend to anyone, and will return myself for any future computer-related service/repairs. ~ Christoffer H

I was stuck. Really busy and relying on my laptop and it stopped working. What to do? Take it to a repair shop but, which one? So, search reviews, phone a couple of people and the one that seemed to come up with good reviews and also speedy term around was Dr IT services.The machine went down there even though it was someway from my home. Good decision! Repaired in the day with a very clear explanation as to what was wrong and assurance that the computer was like new – it is – and then a very helpful tutorial as to what to look out for in the future to make sure it stays in good nick. Just adding another great review to Dr IT's record! The hinges on my laptop gave in, leaving me in a precarious position. As I was in a position to delivery the machine myself, I was able to drop it off at the business. Vlad was very personable, knowledgeable, and great at translating my over-Googled terminology into a plan of action. My laptop was returned to me in great shape, not only with new, strong hinges, but a fresh install of the Operating System and a few other small replacements, which Vlad and I had discussed. Overall, this was an excellent customer experience, I felt everything was clearly explained in a way I could understand and Vlad kept me updated about how my repairs were going. I found Dr IT - aka Vlad sir, incredibly professional and extremely knowledgeable. I found Dr IT from an online search, and my laptop was up and working after 24 hours. Quickly identified the problem and fixed it. Price was reasonable. But the quality of repair cannot be faulted. My laptop was overheating and now it runs smooth, the fan can be heard and it's a relief that I did not have to immediately buy a new one. Fantastic experience! I brought my dead HP laptop for diagnostic and was advised that motherboard need to be replaced. Not only he did super quick same day diagnostic, as I needed the laptop for work ASAP, he broke down all costs I would face and, also, checked that I still had an extended warranty on my laptop, which I didn't even know about. I was advised to contact HP and try to get it sorted. Just received my laptop form the warranty refurb, it was motherboard indeed. So, thank you, Vlad, very much for saving me quite a bit of money with your prompt work and advise. I spent time looking for the right repair shop here in Birmingham everywhere else either had many mixed reviews or questionable reputation. Highly recommend. I contacted Vlad as my laptop wasn’t working. (Would not power up). I dropped it off to him in the morning. Then later that day he was able to diagnose the fault and put forward a plan to resolve. Unfortunately it was not economical to repair, but he was able to source the perfect replacement for my budget. Which I couldn't be more happy with. For a small fee he was able to transfer all my data over to the new device. All turned around in a few days. The service was fast, friendly and had great communication. My graphics card was overheating and started to occasionally crash. After hours of research, the best solution I could find was to replace the thermal paste and the thermal pad. However, my GFX is an Aorus Extreme 3080 which uses over 20 thermal pads of 4x different thickness levels so I was reluctant to do it myself. I found Dr IT online, called Vlad and he called me over to drop off the card that same day. He was extremely knowledgeable about both the hardware and test methods I used, so we had a proper discussion about the troubleshooting steps necessary. It took him less than a day to sort it out and I'm extremely happy with the outcome. He used quality products (thermal pads and paste) to get the job done which is a MUST in my book as this hardware is expensive and needs proper attention. This guy is an angel. My partner has had nothing but problems with a computer that he bought over two months ago. I contacted Vlad after my son fried my laptop by using his powerful charger in my less powerful laptop. I was very anxious. He was very responsive when I made initial contact and I was above to drop my laptop off that morning. The service was supremely professional and very quick. Vlad was really great. He was highly professional and very helpful in sorting out my problem which required a new motherboard. He did an excellent job fitting the new motherboard at a very good price. He even helped me return the defective motherboard that was sent in error as I was outside the country, which reflects his helpful nature. I was really lucky to have come accross Vlad, who helped me to recover all my precious family photos from the broken removable hard drive, with his business partner, data recovery specialists. The whole process took a few months due to a difficulty in sourcing a suitable donor drive for parts, but Vlad kept me up to date with the progress and I trusted him fully that the job would be completed to my full satisfaction. Exceptional Service!!! I had some issues with my PC last week, with my SSD, and I thought I have lost my university assessments because my PC did not open anymore. Another issue was that I did not know anyone in my area that could fix my PC but I am glad that I have found and meet Vlad. He manage to fix my PC in one day just in time to be able to send my assessment to the university in time and the problem was solved. I bought an expensive gaming laptop which was shutting down whilst gaming, and I suspected it might be because the operating temperatures were too high. I reached out to Vlad one morning and he offered to take a look at the laptop and repair it the same day. He was very polite and knowledgeable about the laptop I'd bought and about the CPU and GPU therein, and was aware that they were prone to overheating. He knew immediately what to do to fix it, so I left my laptop with him and shortly thereafter Vlad let me know that he had finished and the laptop was ready to collect. He was so efficient I could barely believe it! He took pictures throughout the process of the internals (before and after his repair) and showed me them on arrival. I took the laptop home and sure enough the operating temps are ~15c less and the laptop now works perfectly. Thank you Vlad! And all for a very reasonable price.
